Inpex to spud Berkat-1 well using MODU

Inpex Masela Ltd. said it will spud one exploration well called Berkat-1 in the Berkat field, Masela block in Timor Sea, using ?Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit? (MODU) in the following year.

?We plan to drill the Berkat-1 well using Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit in early 2014 once drillings at three delineation wells are done,? Inpex? Manager of Communication and Relations Alfred Menayang told Petromindo.com on Friday.

Meanwhile, Head of Survey and Drilling Division at upstream authority SKK Migas, Arief Fanzuri said Inpex has completed the drilling of Abadi-8 delineation well in Abadi field to the 4,055 meter measurement depth (mmd).

?Currently Abadi-9 delineation well which was spudded on Oct. 6, 2013 is being drilled to the 3,928 mmd,? Arief said adding that the content of the well is being tested.
