Insani Baraperkasa has spent $ 1.18m for exploration

PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk has spent US$1.18 million during 2011 to conduct JORC exploration activity in its PT Insani Baraperkasa (IBP) coal blocks? mine

Exploration activity, which was conducted by third party has focused on Loajanan, sub-block South Purwajaya, the company said on Monday.

The company said that it has secured approval from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry to enter production stage on all of its coal blocks.

IBP is hoping to produce 6 milion tonnes of coal this year, up from 2011 coal production target of 3.5 million tonnes. IBP produces coal with CV ranging from 5,100 kcal/kg to 6,000 kcal/kg (ADB). IBP operates a CCoW concession in Kutai Kartanegara regency with an area of 24,000 hectares.
