Insani Baraperkasa lowers 2012 output

IDX-listed firm PT Resource Alam Indonesia reported that its coal mine unit PT Insani Baraperkasa (IBP) has lowered its coal output this year due to global economy slowdown and lower coal price.
The parent company said that IBP revised output to only 4.3-4.5 million tons from original target of 6 million tons this year.
The company?s official told Petromindo.com that as of November, IBP had produced around 3.8 million tons of coal.
"The current rainy season has not yet to significantly hampered our output, we could optimize production to at least 4.3 million tons (this year),? an official of the company who declined to be named said.
Almost 80 percent of IBP coal is aimed to China and about 14 percent to South Korea.
The company targets to produce around 5 million tons of coal for next year.
