Installation ceremony for renewable energy head delayed

The installation ceremony for Luluk Sumiarso as director general of renewable energy, which is scheduled to be held today, has been delayed until Thursday or Friday, according to sources at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The directorate general of renewable resources is a newly created agency to supervise the growing renewable energy industry.

Following the creation of the new directorate general, the responsibility of the current directorate general of coal, mineral and geothermal will be reduced to handle coal and mineral industry.
