Sopokomil -- Anjing Hitam zone
The company has provided assay results from hole SOP41D on section 9475N, the southernmost drilled section of the Anjing Hitam zone:
From To Width Zn Pb Ag
m m m % % ppm
SOP41D

Main mineralized horizon
Hole 42D, on the same section, and drilled to intersect the target horizon at approximately 40 metres updip from SOP41D, failed to intersect massive sulphide mineralization thereby defining the western edge of the deposit.
The LF70 rig is now drilling the next hole, targeting the zone on section 9475N about 100 metres downdip from SOP41D.
Sopokomil -- additional targets
Assay results have been received from drill holes SOP39D and SOP40D on section 10400N in the Basecamp area.

The sedex zone in both SOP39D and SOP40D was strongly sheared with abundant fault gouge. The carbonate-hosted MVT zinc mineralization in SOP39D is typical of the widespread carbonate-hosted mineralization commonly encountered within the large 3.5-kilometre-long target zone.
The Edson rig is currently drilling a hole targeting both JSZ and MVT mineralization in the Bongkaras areas on section 12000N.
Dairi project -- government liaison
Very constructive meetings were held with the regent of the Dairi regency in mid-November. The governor of North Sumatra also expressed his support. Full support for the Dairi project has been assured from these authorities who will be assuming greater powers within the decentralization process presently taking place in Indonesia.
A technical presentation was made at the governor's office in the provincial capital, Medan, on Nov. 23, 2000, by the chairman of Herald Resources Ltd., Terrance Allen, and project geologist, Robert Seed.
The deputy governor also assured support of the company in its efforts.
The recent very heavy rains and flooding throughout Sumatra has not affected activities at the Sopokomil site. Drilling has proceeded without halt up to the date of this report. (*)
