Under the cooperation agreement signed in Jakarta last week, the two companies would equally share the entire investment requirement for the refinery plant, which would have a capacity to process up to 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
The president of Intanjaya, H.S. Mapasulle said that the plant would produce a number of fuel products including liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemical naphtha, regular gasoline, jet fuel, diesel oil, asphalt and sulfur.
"The construction of the plant would start later this year. We hope the commercial production could be commenced in 2010," he added. (*)
