International workshop on mining policy to be held on Oct. 9-10

An international workshop on mining policy would be held in Jakarta on Oct. 9-10 and would be attended by five related ministers, according to director general of mineral resources and geology Wimpy S. Tjetjep.
Wimpy said that the 5-ministers were Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro, State Minister of Environment Nabiel Makarim, State Minister for Development Acceleration in Eastern Indonesia Manuel Kaisiepo, Minister of Forestry Muhammad Prakosa, and Minister of Finance Boediono.
All major mining issues would be discussed at the workshop, Wimpy said, adding that the program would also be participated by mining experts and officials of regional governments.(Godang/Alex)
