Interpid confirms gold porphyry system at Tujuh Bukit

Intrepid Mines Limited, an Australian-based gold and silver development and exploration company, has confirmed that the third gold-copper porphyry system discovered on its Tujuh Bukit project in East Java has a minimum areal extent of 1.8 kilometers by 0.6 kilometers.

The company made the announcement after receiving all assay results from the first eight holes drilling program at the Candrian prospect, located 2.2 kilometers east of the main Tumpangpitu copper-gold deposit.

As previously reported, following receipt of assay results from the first three holes of this initial drill program drill hole CND-11-002 returned very encouraging results, intersecting 138 meters at 0.8 g/t gold and 0.21 percent copper from just 6 meters below surface, including an interval of 40 meters at 1.6 g/t gold and 0.36 percent copper.

Holes CND-001 to 008 were all mineralized to varying extents and have defined a broad mineralized porphyry system that now requires infill drilling to define resources.

Drill hole CND-006 intersected 50 meters at 0.25 g/t gold, and 0.16 percent copper, and 46 meters at 0.42g/t gold and 0.18 percent copper. Hole CND-008 intersected 46 meters at 0.27 g/t gold, and 0.24 percent copper. All intersections returned very low arsenic assays.

?These results confirm the mineralized system at Candrian and add another prospect to our pipeline for further work which may contribute to our resource base. Our mineralized ?cluster? is now extending to over six by four kilometers, and we hope to expand that even further with imminent drilling at Salakan,? said Intrepid CEO, Brad Gordon. (demas)
