Singapore Exchange-listed oil firm Interra Resources Limited announced Thursday that the operator of the Tanjung Miring Timur (TMT) oil field onshore South Sumatra has commenced drilling the second infill well in a three- well infill development drilling program.
The spud of well TMT-49 followed the successful completion of well TMT-48 as an oil well, said the company. The well is planned to be drilled to approximately 1,160 metres with estimated time of completion around four weeks.
The company expects that the total cost of the three wells as completed producers remains at the original estimate of US$3.7 million.
With the addition of well TMT-48, the field is currently producing about 900 BPD, said the company.
Interra owns a 70% interest in the TMT Technical Assistance Contract. The owner of the remaining 30% and operator of the field is PT Retco Prima Energi.(alex)
