SGX-listed Interra Resources Limited reported on Wednesday that the drilling of SLE S2 well within the Linda Sele (LS) field onshore West Papua has reached total depth of 736 meters and testing of prospective reservoirs will commence shortly.

This follows a successful drilling at LDA G5TW well which has been undergoing production optimization tests since January 28, 2013, when the drilling reached 1,010 meters. This well is currently producing 21 barrels of oil per day while awaiting further work in an effort to increase production.

The field is operated by Interra?s wholly owned subsidiary Goldwater LS Pte. Ltd (GSL). GSL has 100 percent working interest in Linda Sele. Both wells were drilled using an externally contracted rig.

Meanwhile, Interra also reported that, following the implementation of the production optimization tests in TMT-53 well at the Tanjung Miring Timur (TMT) field in South Sumatra, the well has consistently produced at controlled flow rates of between 900 and 1,100 bopd over the past fourteen days.

Interra?s wholly owned unit Goldwater TMT Pte. Ltd has 100 percent in the Technical Assistance Contract of the TMT field.

TMT-53 marks a significant milestone in the development of TMT as it currently has the best initial production rates based on existing production tests. At this stabilized production rate, TMT-53 remains the best producing well and more than double the overall production at TMT.
