Tanjung Miring Timur TAC (Interra 100%)
New drilling at Tanjung Miring Timur (TMT) has been temporarily suspended since April 2009, pending the results of the 3D seismic data acquisition and interpretation which was completed in Q2 2012. Numerous potential prospective locations for new wells have been delineated. TMT-53, the first of four wells in the initial drilling campaign, is expected to complete in early November 2012.
In addition to producing additional oil from undrained areas as infill wells, these wells are designed to test new reservoir concepts gained from the 3D seismic data interpretation concerning the field structural architecture and stratigraphic implications which may greatly enhance the ability to maximize production.
In Q3 2012, gross production was 23,230 barrels of oil, an increase of 5% as compared to the previous quarter of 22,138 barrels of oil.
In-house TMT field studies with respect to reservoir engineering and field production infrastructure are underway to determine the causes and solutions to resolve the current decline in production. New lifting and other production equipment are arriving and will be installed in an attempt to enhance production from current producing wells.
Linda Sele TAC (Interra 100%)
The acquisition of approximately 55 square kilometres of 3D seismic data over the block was completed in Q3 2012. The interpretation of the data is ongoing with the objective to gain a better understanding of the subsurface structural geometry and reservoir characteristics, and to identify development potential whether infill and step-outs or new pool fault blocks.
The first well is expected to commence drilling in Q4 2012 and is an offset to an old well which was plugged and abandoned with mechanical problems after flowing oil to surface. The second well location to be drilled immediately following will be based on the 3D seismic data interpretation.
In Q3 2012, gross production was 15,944 barrels of oil, a decrease of 10% as compared with the previous quarter. During the quarter, there were two upliftings of approximately 22,712 barrels of oil.
Kuala Pambuang PSC (Interra 49%)
Planning is ongoing for the acquisition of approximately 245 line kilometres of 2D seismic data over the most prospective area of the block with commencement likely in Q1 2013. The objective is to delineate the best location for a possible exploration well to test the hydrocarbon potential of this portion of the Pambuang Basin. Technical studies continue both in house and via site visits. (end of excerpt)
