Coal mining company PT Intitirta Primasakti, a subsidiary of IDX-listed plywood adhesive producer PT Duta Pertiwi Nusantara Tbk (DPNS), is projected to start coal production in three years as the company is currently still conducting drilling activities at a concession in Jambi while waiting for the commodity price to recover.

Bisnis Indonesia quoted DPNS President Director Siang Hadi Wijaya as saying that his company is open to investors wishing to participate in financing the coal project.

Intitirta has three concessions in Sorolangun and Batanghari Regencies (Jambi), and in Musi Banyuasin (South Sumatra) totaling 48,175 ha. Bisnis Indonesia said that DPNS has a 60 percent stake in Intitirta, while the remainder is owned by a company called PT Ayrus Prima. (*)
