Intrepid dismisses rumour in Australian Financial Review

(September 7, 2011)--Intrepid Mines Limited notes that an article in the Australian Financial Review today (page 21) prompted by record gold prices and which refers to research initiation by investment bankers, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and the upcoming Denver Gold Group conference next week, also suggests that the company is in very early discussion with G Resources regarding a potential merger.
The Company advises that it is not a participant in any merger discussions. (ends)
