IP calls for bids to transport fuel

PT Indonesia Power (IP), a unit of public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) opens a pre-qualification (PQ) bid for the fuel shipment transportation to supply fuel to its power plants

IP said that the tender aims to transport fuel from Pertamina?s loading port or other place to IP?s storages at Suralaya coal-fired power plant in Banten, Tanjung Priok combined-cycle power plant in North Jakarta, Tambak Lorok combined-cycle power plant in Semarang, C. Java, Pesanggaran diesel power plant in Bali, Gilimanuk gas-fired power plant in Bali and Pemaron gas-fired power plant also in Bali.

In an advertisement placed on Wednesday, IP said the company opened the bids to fuel transportation companies which have vessels with a capacity of 15,000-30,000 DWT and barges with a capacity of between 1,000 and 5,000 DWT.

IP did not mention the total fuel procurement to supply to its power plants.

Companies interested in the tender should file their bids from April 28 to May 04, 2010 with the tender committee at IP?s office on Jl. Gatoto Soebroto Kav. 18, Jakarta, 12950. (denny)
