The company has decided to extend the pre-qualification (PQ) period of the tender.
?They (PKP2B) prefer exporting their coal due to higher price on the export market,? IP?s Chief Operation Officer Bambang Susianto told Petromindo.Com on Friday.
He did not specify until when the PQ period had been extended.
The company has invited PKP2B holders to participate in the tender to supply coal with minimum calorific value of 5,100Kcal/kg (AR) or 6,300 kcal/kg (ADB) for the Suralaya power plant. The company said the tender was aimed to secure mid-term supply for the power plant, but did not give details about the volume of the coal need by the power plant.
Meanwhile, Bambang said PQ for KP holders was still in progress. KP holders are expected to supply 1 million tons of coal to Suralaya power plant. (godang)
