IP gets O&M contract for 7 coal-fired power plants

PT Indonesia Power (IP) has been assigned by its parent company state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to carry out operation and maintenance (O&M) of seven coal-fired power plants.

PLN handed over the contract for the O&M work last month, Ulfa Millany, Manager of Stakeholder Relations at IP told Petromindo.com Thursday.

The seven power plants include the PLTU Sumatera,Pangkalan Susu ( 2x220 MW), PLTU Sulawesi Selatan, Barru ( 2x50 MW), PLTU Kalimantan Barat,Sanggau (2x7 MW), PLTU Jayapura,Haultecamp (2x10 MW), PLTU Lombok, Jeranjang (1x25 MW), PLTU Maluku, Ambon ( 2x7 MW), and PLTP NTT, Ulumbu ( 2x2.5 MW).

?The Pangkalan Susu and Sanggau power plants are expected to start commercial of development in 2014, while the rest in 2013,? Ulfa said.
