PT Indonesia Power (IP), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara, will need about 11 million tons of coal to fuel its entire coal-fired power plants in 2014.

Operational Director of IP, Eri Prabowo told Petromindo.com Friday that the company has set a price target of Rp 680,000 per ton for the coal it needs.

?Of the 11 million tons coal supply, 4 million tons will come from PT Bukit Asam, 1.5 million tons from Berau Coal, 1.5 million from Kideco Jaya Agung, and 1.5 million from Adaro,? Eri said, adding that the company is still seeking for the remaining supply of 2.5 million tons from the ongoing tender process.
