IP opens PQ tender for 1m tons of coal supply

PT. Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), announced on Thursday the pre-qualification coal tender for 1 million tons of coal supply to its Suralaya 3,400-MW power plant in Banten province.
The company said that only KP holders are eligible to participate in the tender.
According to Suralaya?s general manager Sudimanto the calorific value (CV) coal needed by the firm is 4,900-5,100 kcal/kg (AR) and the coal should be delivered immediately to add end of this year?s stock.
?The winner announcement will be depending to the committee,? he added.
Registration starts September 4 and will be closed Sept. 10, 2008 at Gedung PT Indonesia Power Kantor Pusat , 14 floor
