PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, is set to hold tender to select ECP contractor for the planned 2x1,000 MW PLTU Jawa-5 coal-fired power plant project in Banten.
Adi Suprijono, Business Development Director at IP, said to Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the company is currently waiting for direction from parent PLN for the planned tender. ?We?re still waiting for instruction from PLN for the EPC tender of the Jawa 5 project,? he said, but decline to provide further details.
This portal previously reported quoting a source that IP has signed a MoU appointing IDX-listed PT Barito Pacific Tbk as partner in the project. IP was supposed to hold tender to select the partner amid interest expressed by some companies including Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Mitsui, and Sumitomo, as well as IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk.
