IPC maintains stable coal output

East Kalimantan coal miner PT International Prima Coal (IPC), a coal unit of IDX-listed coal miner PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk will meet this year?s target production of 1 million tons, the company?s offical told Petromindo.com.
At present, the company is in stable coal output of 60,000-85,000 tons of coal per month. Despite unfavorable coal market condition. IPC has produced coal from its block called Eagle-1 and Eagle-3.
Coal from Eagle-3 block has a higher CV at 5,000-5,200 kcal/kg (GAR) compared to Eagle-1 of 4,400-4,200 kcal/kg (GAR). IPC has sold its coal with spesification of 4,800 kcal/kg (GAR).
"Next year, IPS is targeting to incrase its coal output to 1.2-1.5 million tons," the offical added. As of September 2012, the mine has 7.1 million tons of proven reserve.
