Iran is scheduled to ship 44,000 tons of LPG to Indonesia later this month, the first shipment of an LPG supply agreement signed by Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and its Iranian counterpart National Iranian Company (NIOC) in August.

This was said by Daniel Purba, Senior Vice President of Pertamina?s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) to Petromindo.com on Thursday. ?The LPG (supply agreement) has been signed. The plan is that the first shipment will be made on September 26-27 for as many as 44,000 metric tons,? he said.

He said that high LPG demand at home has prompted Pertamina to seek supply from various sources.

Daniel said that the LPG will be shipped using Pertamina?s vessel Pertamina Gas 2, and the loading port will be the Kalbut Situbondo Port in East Java.
