Iranian investor ready to start its oil project in Batam

Iranian investors will soon realize its oil investment project in Batam. The investor has presented a list of goods and services that it would purchase from local producers to the Association of Oil Supporting Industries (AIPP) in Batam.
The director for business development in the Batam Authority, Donald Panjaitan, said that the investors, grouped in the Middle Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, had given their "green light" to businesses grouped in AIPP to present their offers for their products.
The products required by the investors include nem van connector, casing, slurries, coil tubing, fire valve, drill pipe, drilling-mud, chemicals equipment, line pipe, stainless tubing, valve refurbishment facilities, and well head equipment.
Donald said that there were 38 companies providing oil supporting product and services in Batam.
Meanwhile, the head of the financial, tax and monetary department at the Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Gosse, said his party had been approaching the investors to use locally produced products and services for their projects. (*)
