Iriana Resources appoints Indonesian operation s boss
Canadian mineral explorer Iriana Resources Corp. announced on Tuesday the appointment of Michael Thirnbeck as General Manager, Indonesian Operations. Michael joined Iriana in 1997 as Exploration Manager and since January 1998 has been President Director of PT. Iriana Mining Services, based in Jakarta.
Michael graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology and Mineralogy from the University of Queensland in 1984 and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr. Thirnbeck has extensive experience as a geologist and exploration manager in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
