IT firm expands to nickel mining

JSX-listed IT firm PT.Integrasi Teknologi TBk plans to expand business to nickel mining through its subsidiary PT.Lion Nickel.
The company said in an announcement posted at the JSX on Wednesday that Lion had acquired a nickel mining concession in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, covering 5,000 hectares of land.
The company said that based on geological survey, the area had 17 million tonnes of nickel ore reserves with cut off grade more than 1 percent, adding that several potential offtakers from China had expressed interest to buy ore from the mine.
The company has appointed Australian consultant Behre & Dolbear t evaluate reserves in then concession.(alex)
