ITM extends coal handling services at BCT

IDX-listed PT Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITM) has extended 1-year coal handling services deal with PT Dermaga Perkasapratama (DPP), a coal handling service unit of PT Bayan Resources, to use DPP?s Balikpapan Coal Terminal (BCT) as loading activity to ship ITM coal, an industrial source told Petromindo.com.
Under previous deal, which expired in Dec. 31, 2012, DPP agreed to handle 2 million tons of coal per year from ITM?s mining units namely PT Indominco Mandiri, PT Kitadin, PT Trubaindo Coal Mining, PT Jorong Barutama Greston and PT Bharinto Ekatama.
ITM has made used of BCT services since 2009, although ITM has also operated its own coal terminal Bontang Coal Terminal which has up to 18.5 million tons per annum of coal loading capacity.
