ITM targets 28m tons output in 2013

IDX-listed PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITM), an Indonesian coal unit of Thai energy firm Banpu, is targeting to produce around 28 million tons of coal this year, up around 1 million tons compared to last year?s total production, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
Banpu operates five producing mines in Indonesia namely Indominco Mandiri, Kitadin and Kitadin Tandung Mayang and Trubaindo in East Kalimantan, as well as Jorong Barutama Greston in South Kalimantan.
Indominco still produces the most coal output with total target of around 14-15 million tons, similar to last year's output, Trubaindo placed second with output target of 8-9 million tons this year, up around 1 million compared to last year output, the official said.
ITM produced around 27 million tons of coal last year.
