ITMG plans 1,000 MW power plant

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) is considering to develop a 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant as part of business diversification strategy, Bisnis Indonesia reported Friday.
The paper quoted ITMG Director Edward Manurung as saying that the company would be looking for partners to develop the project, which is projected to require up to US$2 billion investment.
The company hopes to be able to start the project in 2016, and to complete it in 2020. ?We?re still making evaluation of the project,? he said, without providing further details. (*)
