ITMG plans higher production next year

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) plans to increase output next year by around 1 million tons from the estimated 26.2 million tons for this year amid recovery in the price of the commodity.

This was said by ITMG Director Leksono Poetranto to Petromindo.com recently. He said that the company is on track to meet the full-year production target. ?Next year, production will slightly increase from this year?s,? Leksono said.

ITMG previously said that was seeking for sales volume of 27.1 million tons for this year. In the first nine months of the year, the company has produced an output of 19 million tons of coal with total sales volume of 20.1 million tons shipped to China (5.2 million tons), Japan (3.8 million tons), Indonesia (2.8 million tons), India (2.5 million tons) and other customers in Europe, East Asia, Pacific, and Southeast Asia.

ITMG has five producing coal concessions in Kalimantan operated by subsidiaries PT Indominco Mandiri, PT Trubaindo Coal Mining, PT Bharinto Ekatama, PT Kitadin (Embalut and Tandung Mayang) and PT Jorong Barutama Greston.
