China-based solar manufacturer JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd. said on Monday that it has signed multiple cooperation agreements with Indonesia’s diversified conglomerate Triputra Group covering procurement, joint venture development and education, following a recent meeting between the two parties in Beijing.
The agreements were reached during a visit by Triputra Group executives, led by Group CEO Tjandra Karya Hermanto, alongside Triputra Visi Energi (TRIVE) CEO Juan Davis and ATW Group CEO Antonius Weno.
On the JA Solar side, the meeting was attended by Jin Junhui, Director of JA Solar and Chairman of its energy storage business; Chen Yongqin, President of the Regional Operations Center; Wu Zheng, President of the International Capability Center and Vice President of the photovoltaic division; and Li Xiaobin, Vice President for East Asia and the South Pacific.
Both parties reached consensus across three key areas, namely procurement, joint venture development and education, and signed multiple agreements during the meeting.
Jin said JA Solar remains committed to its mission of advancing solar energy development globally and providing leading photovoltaic solutions to its partners.
“Triputra Group has strong local resources and influence in Indonesia. The strategic synergy between both sides will inject strong momentum into the development of Indonesia’s new energy industry,” she said.
Triputra Group CEO Hermanto said Indonesia is currently at a critical stage of energy transition, noting that JA Solar’s manufacturing strength and technological expertise complement Triputra’s operational experience in the domestic market.

He said both parties aim to leverage their respective strengths to expand cooperation outcomes and contribute to sustainable development in Southeast Asia and globally.
Triputra Group is one of Indonesia’s major conglomerates, with business activities spanning agriculture, manufacturing, mining and trading services, employing more than 60,000 people and holding leading positions across multiple sectors.
Against the backdrop of strong policy support and growing demand for solar energy in Indonesia, the agreements include a solar module procurement arrangement and the establishment of a joint venture between JA Solar and Triputra subsidiary TRIVE to jointly develop the photovoltaic market in Indonesia.
In addition, both parties agreed to cooperate in talent development. JA Solar-backed Xingtai New Energy Vocational College will collaborate with educational institutions under Triputra Group in areas such as research, academic programs and exchange initiatives related to renewable energy.
Following the meeting, JA Solar representatives accompanied the Triputra delegation to visit the vocational college and engage with faculty members and students.
JA Solar said the agreements mark another step in its expansion in Southeast Asia, as it seeks to build an integrated cooperation model spanning product supply, joint development and human capital to support Indonesia’s energy transition and broader low-carbon development.
