Jabung LPG plant EPC winner to be announced soon

The sources said the winner will be picked among three contenders; Chiyoda Corp., Technip Coflexip and Hyundai Heavy Industry.
BPMIGAS and Petrochina will likely pick Chiyoda as EPC winner for the project, since the company is offering better terms and condition, the sources said.
The sources added that construction of the project will commence immediately after winner announcement and was expected to be comleted within two years' time.
The Betara Complex wet gas project will extract LPG with gas intake of 130 million cubic feet per day from Jabung gas block which is operated by Petrochina. The plant is expected to produce 1,315 tons of LPG per day for export to Singapore and Japan.
The proposed facilities includes an LPG production unit, a floating storage and offloading vessel, a mooring buoy, gathering lines and onshore plants for gas and natural gas liquids.
Earlier, the project is estimated to cost US$340 million.(alex)
