Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has invited Singaporean investors to participate in the development of Phase 3 and Phase 4 of Jakarta's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network during a meeting with Lawrence Wong in Singapore.

Pramono said the Jakarta administration is open to Singaporean investment in MRT expansion, transit-oriented developments, and other urban projects as part of the city's plan to strengthen its position as a global city.

"Investing in Jakarta today means securing access to one of the largest markets in Southeast Asia," Pramono said in a statement on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Pramono highlighted Jakarta's efforts to improve the investment climate through regulatory clarity, efficient processes, and policy consistency aimed at providing greater certainty for investors.

He said his administration is committed to making investment procedures more accessible, transparent, and efficient, adding that supporting policies are being prepared to strengthen investor confidence.

Pramono also emphasized his experience in government, including serving as cabinet secretary before becoming Jakarta governor, as a factor that helps align national policies with local implementation and facilitate engagement with strategic partners such as Singapore.

The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding economic ties between Jakarta and Singapore through infrastructure and urban development projects.
