Gas production from the Jambaran-Tiung Biru fields in Central Java is projected to be delayed for several months from the original target of end 2018 to the first or second quarter of 2019, according to a top official of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), the operator of the project.

?But we?ll seek for ways to speed up the completion of the project,? PEPC?s President Director Amril Thaib Mandailing told Petromindo.com.

Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil and gas block jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL), a unit of ExxonMobil Indonesia, and PEPC. The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu Block, which is operated by EMCL. EMCL and Pertamina EP agreed in September 2012 to unitize both fields.
