Jambi and China to cooperate in oil and gas sector

The provincial administration of Jambi and a major Chinese company PetroChina have agreed to further strengthen their cooperation in the oil and gas sector, Investor daily reported on Thursday.

Speaking to journalists following his visit from Beijing, Jambi governor Zulkifli Nurdin said that the Chinese company had agreed to promote its cooperation with the local government.

"We hope the second round of the presidential election will run smoothly, and then we will enter further negotiations," he said adding that after elections, a delegation of the Chinese company would visit Jambi to further discuss the cooperation plan.
