Coal miners in Jambi province have established a consortium to develop a hauling road from Mandiangin to Muaro Jambi.

An industrial source told Petromindo.com that the hauling road will be around 80 kilometers in length.

"Now we are doing a feasibility study, which is expected to be completed by the end of this month," the source said adding that the consortium is organized by the Jambi chapter of the Indonesia Coal Mining Association.

He added that the development of the hauling road is considered as a solution for the coal miners in the province as the local government has issued a regulation banning mining trucks from entering public roads.
