Jambi miner to start production in 2010

Director Ismail Mahruf told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the mine will produce 1 million tones in 2010, ramping up to 3-5MTPA in the following years.
The company has completed the mine?s feasibility study and would soon move to construction stage.
Mahruf said that coal production would mostly be sold to local customers including state electricity firm PLN.
He also said that the company, teaming up with from its mine teaming up with South Korean firm Circleone Investment Co.Ltd, plan to build 2x50 MW mine mouth power plant within its concession.
He said the company is also in talks to develop the mine and infrastructure such as port and coal railway with other South Korean firm SK Energy and Posco.
The company, which has an 18,000 concession in Sarulangun regency, is a Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) concession holder.
The mine has reserves of 200 million tonnes with CV ranges from 4,200-4,800 Kcal/kg (AR). (denny)
