Jambi police ready to protect oil and gas facilities

Jambi Regional Police has signed an agreement with upstream authority BPMIGAS and PSC holders to help secure oil and gas activities in the province.
Inked on Tuesday, the agreement covers the protection of oil and gas production facilities, gas pipeline networks and workers as well as other facilities.
?Basically, our involvement starts from survey activities up to storage,? Head of the Jambi police force Bridge. Jend. Anang Iskandar said after the signing in Jambi.
According to BPMIGAS, Jambi is home to 14 PSCs.
Elan Biantoro, Head of BPMIGAS for southern Sumatra, said that the most common problem in the area is thievery and the involvement of all regional stakeholders, including the police, would be a big help.
