Jambi UBEP to increase production

Jambi UBEP, business unit of PT Pertamina EP for Jambi region, announced that total production from its 12 production fields in the region reached 4,100 bopd. Oil and gas reserves stand at 39.6 million barrels and 64.7 bscf, respectively.

General Manager of UBEP Jambi M. Bunyamin told petromindo.com that programs such as put on production (PoP) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) are underway to help boost production in its fields, many of which are maturing.

By the end of the year, production is expected to hit 5,500 bopd, excluding about 340 bopd estimated to come from its EOR program. Up to 2 mmscfd of gas will also come on stream later this year.

To increase reserves, drilling program is also in place, particularly in Kenali Asam (4 wells), Sungai Gelam (3 wells) and Ketaling (1 well), Bunyamin said.
