Jangkrik floating production unit (FPU) vessel had arrived on April 2 at the Muara Bakau?s Jangkrik field in the Makassar Strait, sooner than the initial schedule.
?It (the vessel) arrived last Sunday. Now it is in the process of mooring and hook up. The arrival is sooner than scheduled. Meanwhile, the gas-in plan is still in accordance with schedule, around May 15,? a source told Petromindo.com, but did not provide further details.
The Jangkrik FPU vessel, which left Saipem' shipyard in Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Archipelago, on March 25, will be used to process gas to be produced from Jangkrik project in Muara Bakau.
The Jangkrik FPU has a capacity to process 450 mmscfd of gas and condensates from the Jangkrik project. It will then channel the gas via a 79-km underwater pipeline to reach the onshore gas network of East Kalimantan gas producers, which will then distribute the gas to industries in East Kalimantan and to the Bontang LNG plant.
The Jangkrik project covers two fields in Muara Bakau PSC, namely Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East fields. Eni is the operator of the block with a 55 percent working interest, whereas the other JV partners are GDF Suez Exploration Indonesia, a subsidiary of ENGIE, formerly GDF SUEZ, with 33.334 percent stake and Saka Energi Muara Bakau with 11.666 percent stake.
