Jasa Marga unit, Hanson to build toll roads in 2020

PT Jasamarga Ngawi Kertosono (JNK), a subsidiary of IDX-listed PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR), plans to build a 27 kilometers long toll roads in 2020, linking Kertosono and Kediri in East Java. JNK currently manages and owns the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road.
President Director of JNK Iwan Moedyarno was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying that the Kertosono-Kediri toll road will become the main access to the planned Kediri International Airport.
At present, the company is waiting for approval of the East Java provincial government over the route of the toll road.
He said the company will immediately clear the land for the toll road project, once the East Java provincial government approved the route of the toll road.
Iwan Moedyarno expects the land clearing can be done in second half of 2019 and then followed up by the construction of the toll road early 2020.
JNK, he said, needs funds of Rp5.10 trillion to develop the toll road.
Meanwhile, IDX-listed PT Hanson International Tbk (MYRX) also plans to develop a toll road that will connecting the Serpong toll road and Maja industrial area along 30.40 km in Banten Province.
Head of Public Relations and Communication of MYRX Dessy A. Putri said the company is still undertaking feasibility study to develop the toll road.
She added the toll road is expected to encourage property developers, including Hanson International, to develop housing eastes on the sideline of the toll road. (*)
