Jatenergy expects coal production to start by year-end

Australia-listed firm Jatenergy Limited plans first production from its East Kalimantan coal mine to start by end of this year.

The company?s presentation revealed that the Atan Bara mine is will be targeting production of 20,000 tonnes of 6,000 + kcal/kg per month. The Atan Bara mine is located within a concession of 200 hectares of land.

Jatenergy acquired the Atan Bara mine together with another mine called Katingan in Central Kalimantan in March 2011 through acquisition of unlisted Australian company Blackrock Resources. The Katingan project has potential to host 40 MT of coal with CV of 5,900-6,400 kcal/kg.

The company said it is also conducting due diligence on several near production mines. (alex)
