Jatenergy to start JORC drilling at C. Kalimantan coal project

Australia-listed firm Jatenergy Limited plans to start JORC drilling at its Katingan coal project in Central Kalimantan in H2 2011, the company said in its presentation.

Katingan project has potential to host 40 million tonnes (MT) of coal with CV of 5,900-6,400 kcal/kg. It comprises a single, 5,000 ha tenement located 160km north-west of Palangkaraya in Central Kalimantan.

The company said that it is expected to start coal production within next 2-3 years.

Jatenergy acquired Katingan project in March 2011 through acquisition of unlisted Australian company Blackrock Resources. (denny)
