Java-Bali power system on deficit status

The Java-Bali power system on Monday turned to deficit status following drop in supplies from several units of Tambak Lorok and Grati power plants caused by lack of fuel, state-owned electricity firm PT PLN said.
?Six of seven units at Tambak Lorok and two units at Grati are lacking of fuel supplies,? PLN?s spokesman Muljo Adjie said Monday, adding that PLN has not yet got explanations as to the reasons behind the delay of fuel supplies from state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.
According to PLN, the grid is only able to provide around 13,890 MW while the peak demand is estimated at about 14,180 MW. (godang)
