JBIC lends PLN $25m

State owned utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has secured loan of US$25 million from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to fund the procurement of equipments for one of its infrastructure projects in Jakarta
President Director Nur Pamudji said as quoted by kompas.com that the loan carries interest of 2 percent and has tenor of 12 years, adding that the loan would start flowing in early next year.
He said that the loan would form part of other loans from other countries such as Korea, China, France and Germany that PLN plans to seek to finance 8 infrastructure projects worth US$200 million. (*)
