JDC?s rig receives best performance award from Total

Japan Drilling Company (JDC) announced on Monday that its jack-up rig HAKURYU-10 received the 2015 Best Rig Performance Award from French oil major Total E&P, outperforming 45 other rigs in Total E&P worldwide operations.
The award ceremony took place on June 7, 2016 aboard HAKURYU-10, offshore Balikpapan, East Kalimantan province.
JDC President Yuichiro Ichikawa expressed his pride in the HAKURYU-10 achievement to Total E&P representatives. He expressed his sincere gratitude for the tremendous support and appreciation for the superior communication between the two parties that resulted in the safe and smooth operations from the July 2012 commencement of the campaign.
Ichikawa said that he intends to implement specific efficiency practices of HAKURYU-10 to further improve operational performance of JDC Group rigs.
In his closing remarks Ichikawa said he looks forward to working together with Total E&P at the nearest opportunity.
