Jembo Cable obtains Rp 350b contract from PLN

IDX-listed PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk said it has recently obtained contract worth Rp 350 billion from state-owned electricity firm PT PLN to supply cables for the planned 35,000 MW power plant projects.
The company added that it has also obtained plenty of much smaller contracts worth about Rp 10 billion each for power projects in villages.
The company said in a recent statement that it has started supplying the cables to PLN.
The government is pushing for the development of 35,000 MW power plants until 2019, which should provide a boon for cable producers such as Jembo, IDX-listed PT Voksel Electric Tbk, and IDX-listed PT Kabelindo Murni Tbk.
