Jeranjang steam power plants to start operation next year

Three units of steam power plant in Jeranjang , Gerung district of West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara, are scheduled to start commercial operation in 2013.
State utility PT PLN West Nusa Tenggara?s Nusa Tenggara Network 2 and Power Plant Construction Unit Manager Mohamad Dahlan Djamaludin said that the steam power plants will require a total investment of Rp 898 billion.
?Once the power plants start operation, we can reduce significantly the consumption of diesel fuel, which still dominates our primary energy sources here,? he was quoted by Kompas as saying in Lombok Barat on Wednesday. (*)
