JFE reviews plan to introduce bauxite futures

The Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFE) is reviewing the possibility of introducing bauxite futures to be traded on the exchange amid strong demand from industry players, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.
The paper quoted JFE President Director Stephanus Paulus Lumintang as saying that the review is expected to be completed in the second semester of next year.
He said that one of the key considerations is the government?s policy which has banned export of mineral ores starting January 2014. (*)
