The Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX) launched on Wednesday two new gold contracts namely the London Loco Gold Derivative Contract and the Gold Index Futures Contract (or KBIE), Bisnis Indonesia reported Thursday.
The paper said that the two new contracts will start trading on Monday, providing investors with alternative investment products including for hedging purposes.
The new gold contracts add to the JFX existing Gold Index Rolling Contract (KGIE) with trading months of three consecutive months.
JFX President Director Stephanus P. Lumintang said that the KBIE was launched in response to market demand for gold contract with longer trading months of up to 12 consecutive months. (*)
