Jhonlin Group to produce 9-10 MTPA of coal

Coal miner group PT Jhonlin Group is targeting to produce 9-10 million tonnes of coal per annum from its three mines in Batu Licin, Tanah Bumbu regency, South Kalimantan, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.

The company has three coal mines called CV Anugerah Sukses Gemilang, PT Baramega Citra Mulia Persada (BCMP) and KUD Gajah Mada. ?The three of our mines have produced 800,000 tonnes per month,? the official said without giving the breakdown of the coal production.

Jhonlin sold its coal through traders. The coal has calorific value of 5,300-5,100 kcal/kg (ADB). According to the official, there is some space for any new potential buyers for every month of its coal output. ?We have space about 100,000 tonnes per month for new buyers,? the official said.

Currently, the company has stockpile in Sungai Dua with capacity of 500,000 tonnes and is planning to build another new coal stockpile in Serongga village in Kotabaru regency, the official said.

The Sungai Dua river port can handle barges with size of 320 feet or with volume of 12,000 tonnes of coal. From Sungai Dua port, the next transshipment point is in Tanjung Pemancingan. (denny)
