JIEP to build 130-MW captive power plant

PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), a Jakarta province-owned company that runs an industrial estate in East Jakarta is to planning to gradually build a 130-MW power plant to support its business, Bisnis.Com reported on Tuesday.

JIEP President Director Agus Dwitarto said several potential business partners from Japan will visit Jakarta in October to discuss partnership possibility.

Agus said JIEP will need US$130 million to develop the project, which will likely be in the form of combined cycle power plant with capacity of 2x40 MW and one unit with capacity of 50 MW. (*)
